A Klein ISD student has been arrested after allegedly making threats to his school on social media.

The Klein Cain High School student threatened his school with a post on Snapchat, officials said.

According to a district spokesperson, the Snapchat image showed a 'vague' figure of a male, with a hat pulled down over part of his face. He was said to be looking at the ground. No image of the school was included, nor was any weapon displayed. An undisclosed threat was included with the image.

The arrest was made, according to the district, around 11 a.m. The student was taken into custody without incident. His locker and belongings were searched and no weapon was found.

The district said it is working with police and the district attorney's office.

Currently, Klein Cain High School is sharing its campus with Lemm Elementary due to damage sustained at Lemm from Hurricane Harvey.

Full statement released to ABC13:
"This morning the Klein Cain High School administration was made aware of a circulated Snapchat image of a young man threatening the school. Administrators quickly identified the young man as a Klein Cain student, notified the Klein police, and removed him from class. There was no weapon found on campus, and the student is in custody. Klein ISD does not tolerate any threats of harm against other students or staff and works in coordination with the police and the district attorney's office regarding such matters."
