Deputies: Conroe ISD officer shot husband's leg during fight

RAYWOOD, Texas -- A former Conroe ISD police officer has been charged after she allegedly shot her husband in the leg during an argument.
A grand jury in Liberty County returned an indictment charging Holly Marie Matlock with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The Liberty County Sheriff's Office says back in May, the 34-year-old officer was having a fight with her son inside her Raywood home when her husband intervened.
Matlock, who was in her uniform at the time, is accused of removing her weapon and firing it at her husband.
She was arrested without incident, and held in the Liberty County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
Conroe ISD says Matlock is no longer employed with the district.
