Recycle your car seat at Target through Sept. 23
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Don't know what to do with those old, outgrown car seats that are sitting around the house? Take them to Target!
After a successful Take Back program in April, Target is bringing back the program to take them off your hands, just in time for National Baby Safety Month.
"After collecting more than a million pounds of car seat material to be recycled from the program in April, we're excited to be bringing this amazing program back," said Michelle Wlazlo, senior vice president of apparel and accessories at Target.
The Target Take Back is running through Sept. 23, at participating locations.
Just simply bring your old seat to the Target recycling area and drop it off. In exchange, you will receive a 20 percent discount toward the purchase of a new car seat. The coupon is good through Oct. 7.

The program is an initiative between Target and TerraCycle to help keep car seats from ending up in landfills.
