With each new version, the iPhone has offered smartphone buyers more features and innovation than the previous iteration.

This has been common since the advent of Apple's prized product 10 years ago.

How did Apple come from the simple notion of combining its OS platform with cellular technology, to augmented reality and and facial recognition?

  • Released in 2007
