HPD: At least 1 dead in accident on Gulf Freeway, suspect left scene

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- At least one person is dead after a two-vehicle accident on the Gulf Freeway in southeast Houston.

According to Houston police, the crash happened around 8:09 p.m. Friday near the Beltway 8 south exit.

The suspect believed to have caused the fatal crash fled the scene, police said.

No other details have been released.
