Houston ISD holding donation drive to support Harvey-impacted communities

Houston ISD will hold a donation drive to support student and families impacted by Hurricane Harvey.

Houston ISD will hold a donation drive to support student and families recovering from the devastating impacts of Hurricane Harvey.

The drive will take place at the Delmar Fieldhouse at 2020 Mangum Rd. between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2. The following items will be accepted:
  • Undergarments
  • Socks
  • Uniforms
  • Deodorant
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Pillows
  • Blankets
  • Shoes
  • Toothbrushes
  • Toothpaste
  • Other hygiene items
  • Professional dress for impacted staff


Next weekend, HISD plans to open two additional donation sites. From Sept. 5 through Sept. 8, the district will also accept donations at Butler Stadium (13755 Main St) and Barnett Stadium (6800 Fairway Dr.) between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Those looking to make a cash donation can do so through the HISD Foundation's website.
