Airbnb extends room offer to Houston flood evacuees

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Airbnb is expanding its free room offer that was originally extended to Hurricane Harvey evacuees in the central Texas coast to those affected by the storm's flooding

The website that connects travelers with residential hosts will waive regular fees for stays through Sept. 25. The offer was originally set to expire on Sept. 1.

Airbnb hosts in Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, central and east Texas are being recruited to house evacuees. In addition, hosts are being sought in Louisiana and in extreme southeast Texas.

The offer is being made possible through Airbnb's Disaster Response Program. You can view the listings on the house hosting website.
