Free donut cereal bar for students going back to school

CYPRESS, Texas (KTRK) -- Students going back to school on Monday will get a chance to get a free donut, courtesy of Koala Kolache.

All children will receive a free cherry, chocolate or vanilla frosted donut with their favorite cereal.

The Koala Kolache is usually closed Mondays, but they wanted to do something special for students going into the new school year.

"The Cypress community has shown us so much support over the years. We wanted to do something special for them," said owner Vatsana Souvannavong.

The donut cereal bar will feature Fruity Pebbles, Frosted Flakes, Lucky Charms, Rice Krispies and Fruit Loops.

"I don't want going back to school to be a drag for kids," Souvannavong said.

This freebie is just for Aug. 28. Limited quantities are available and no purchase is necessary.
