Texans Practice Day 2: Young fans show their team pride

Tuesday, August 22, 2017

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- It's day two of Texans open practice here in Houston and fan excitement is only growing.

The line to watch practice is growing, too.

Many of the fans waited in line for hours at the Texans training camp. They are pumped up.

Who do they want to see? Overwhelmingly, JJ Watt.

Since July, the team has held training camp some 1,200 miles away in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.

Yesterday, they came back home for their first practice and it didn't go so well.

Head Coach Bill O'Brien said the team wasn't up to par.

So hopefully today will be a lot better for players and these fans.

We saw some really young fans. One little girl just 14 months old with a custom JJ Watt shirt that reads "If lost return me to JJ Watt."

Practice will run from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.

The Texans play the Saints this Saturday, you can watch the game on ABC13.
