HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Singers, get ready! 'American Idol' auditions are headed to Houston!

Host Ryan Seacrest made the surprise announcement on Facebook Monday.

Four new cities have been added to the open call list, including a stop in H-Town Saturday, Sept. 2. The auditions will be held at the Westin Houston Galleria at 5060 West Alabama. If you're thinking about auditioning, click here for everything you need to know.

There will also be auditions in San Antonio on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 4.

Then, the Idol folks are headed north to Fargo, North Dakota on Sept. 6. Their last stop will be Rapid City, South Dakota on Sept. 10.

If you can't make it to any of the auditions in person, but still think you have what it takes to be the next American Idol, you can submit a video on the show's site.

'American Idol' is coming back for its 16th season on ABC13. Ryan Seacrest - the show's host since the very first episode in 2002 - is back to host again. This time, he will be joined by judge Katy Perry. But any other judges have not yet been announced.
