Firefighters battle building fire in Crosby

CROSBY, Texas (KTRK) -- Fears of a roof collapse caused firefighters to push themselves away from a burning building in Crosby.

The building at US 90 and Lindstrom erupted in flames earlier this morning.

The fire was poking through the roof when firefighters arrived.

Big plumes of black smoke could be seen for miles as crews worked to extinguish the fire.

The building was vacant and being used for storage.

No one was hurt in the fire. The cause is still under investigation.
