Boy found under bridge and brought to fire station was runaway

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A 10-year-old child found alone underneath a bridge last night in southeast Houston had actually run away from home.

Authorities say a couple found the boy and brought him to Fire Station 46, where he told firefighters his foster parents kicked him out of the house.

The boy's story later changed and he was released back to his mother.

He didn't appear to have injuries. Law enforcement also said there was no criminal activity involved.
