Do you have a fishing or hunting license? Purchase new licenses next week

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- If you have a hunting or fishing license in the state of Texas, it's time to renew.

All current year hunting and fishing licenses expire on Aug. 31. The expiration date does not include year-to-date fishing licenses. New licenses will go on sale Tuesday, Aug. 15.

Hunters and anglers can get their new 2017-18 license by visiting the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department's website.
