Wreck at Tidwell snarls westbound Highway 290 traffic for early rush hour

All westbound lanes of the Northwest Freeway were closed at Tidwell due to an accident investigation for about 40 minutes early Tuesday morning. Shortly before 6:30 a.m. the wreck cleared, but a long backup remained.
