North Loop eastbound at I-45 interchange closed after person struck

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- We're hoping to learn more this morning after a person was hit by a vehicle on the North Loop.

The North Loop eastbound at the I-45 interchange was reopened after being closed for the police investigation.

SkyEye was over the scene earlier this morning, where several police and EMS vehicles could be seen near Airline.

Crews were seen tending to a person sitting next to one of the concrete walls of the freeway. It was not known whether this person was the injured pedestrian.

A big rig could also be seen crossing several lanes at the scene, but we do not know if this vehicle was involved.
