Pedestrian dies after being hit by vehicle in southeast Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A person initially thought to be OK after a collision with a vehicle in southeast Houston on Monday later died at the hospital.

According to police, the crash happened on Scottcrest Drive near Scott Street at 9:31 p.m.

The pedestrian was thought to be doing fine after the crash, police said. The victim, though, was taken to the hospital, where the person died hours later.

The driver involved stopped at the scene after the collision.
