Lamar ends 7-on-7 football tourney with loss in championship bracket

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Lamar's run at a championship in the Texas State 7-on-7 football tournament came up short in the championship bracket.

The team was playing without three of their top players who were participating in the Nike Combine.

Lamar is also looking for a new quarterback after Owen Holt graduated.

"I feel we can do just as well as Owen did," Ty Holden said.
