Thieves smash their way into popular Montrose coffee shop

Siphon Coffee owner asks for help identifying suspects seen robbing shop in surveillance video.

We're getting our first look at surveillance video that shows the burglary of a popular Montrose coffee shop.

The manager of Siphon Coffee said thieves broke in to the shop on West Alabama Monday at 4:10 a.m.

The burglars smashed through the store's glass front doors and stole cash from their drawers and weekend deposit bags totaling at least $3,000.

Surveillance cameras caught multiple angles of a break-in at Siphon Coffee in Montrose.



One of the suspects is seen wearing a blue New York Mets baseball jersey with jeans and red and white shoes. The other man was wearing jeans, a dark colored long-sleeved shirt and black and white shoes.

If you have any information about the suspects, you are asked to call Houston police or CrimeStoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
