Police chase ends on Katy Freeway at Wilcrest

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The conclusion of a police chase caused delays Sunday afternoon on the eastbound lanes of the Katy Freeway at Wilcrest.

According to officials, the chase started in Austin County and lasted for nearly an hour.

"We saw about eight squad cars around us," an eyewitness said.

The suspect was arrested after refusing to cooperate with authorities.

"Very relieved when I saw that he was captured and no one was hurt," the eyewitness said.
