Timeline of deadly crime spree and suspect manhunt
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Police have arrested a double murder suspect who allegedly killed his ex-wife and another man in northeast Houston, after nearly a week of searching.

Homicide detectives are called out to the 12300 block of Greencanyon Drive. Russell Cormier, 53, is charged with shooting and killing his estranged wife, 61-year-old Fannie McWhite at 6 a.m. in the driveway of her home, while their son was home, according to Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Following the shooting death of McWhite, Cormier allegedly flees the scene in a black Toyota Tundra pickup to another residence in the 600 block of Shotwell. Authorities suspect Cormier grabbed some of his stuff and set the trailer he was living on fire.

Police say Cormier then targets Thornton Jack Bivens at his place of work. Cormier waits for 60-year-old Bivens to arrive then shoots and kills him, according to authorities.
April 18 Tuesday
Cormier is last seen at his neighbor's house where he confronts his neighbor, police say. Cormier shoots his neighbor and takes off in a black Dodge Stratus, according to court documents. The neighbor survives the shooting.
April 21 Friday
Early morning, police find and arrest Russell Cormier, who was found sleeping in a park.
