More than $60K raised for family of 8-year-old who died in car crash

LEAGUE CITY, Texas (KTRK) -- A GoFundMe account has raised over $60,000 for the family of an 8-year-old who was killed in a car accident.

Kelsey Nalepa, a third-grader in League City, was taken off life support on Saturday -- two days after her family was rear-ended on West Main Street.

According to police, another vehicle hit Kelsey and her parents from behind.

Outpouring support for family child's death

In just one day, 864 people donated $66,300 on the GoFundMe page. The initial goal was $60,000.

Kelsey's parents were not injured in the crash.
