ELSMERE, Delaware -- A dog was rescued from a burning house by firefighters in Delaware Wednesday afternoon.

It happened shortly after 1 p.m. and firefighters found a heavy fire on the second floor of the split-level home.

Firefighters rescued a dog from a burning home in Elsmere, Delaware.

There is no word on the condition of the dog.

No other injuries were reported and the cause is still under investigation.
