$8,000 reward offered for most wanted sex offender
Crime Stoppers is offering an $8,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of one of Texas' most wanted sex offenders.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Crime Stoppers has upped the reward for information leading to the arrest of one of Texas' most wanted sex offenders.

Johnny June Mason, Jr., is currently wanted for failure to register as a sex offender and parole violation. In 1990, he was convicted of attempted aggravated rape and aggravated crime against nature after an incident involving a teenage girl in Louisiana. He was then sentenced to 20 years in prison.

According to law enforcement officials, Mason has a history of violating his parole and failing to comply with sex offender registry requirements. His last known address was in Houston, but he also has ties to Baton Rouge and New Orleans.

Mason, who should be considered armed and dangerous, is DPS' featured fugitive of the month, and anybody with information leading to his arrest could be rewarded with up to $8,000.
