Murder charges dropped for 1 brother arrested in shooting
Capital murder charges were dismissed against a suspect in the deadly shooting.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The capital murder charge against Jeremy Jones has been dropped in Sunday's deadly shooting at a northeast Harris County apartment complex.

The Harris County DA's Office says the charges were dismissed because it was a case of mistaken identity.

Jeremy will remain in jail for an unrelated charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Jeremy, 28, and Harvey Jones, 34, were formally charged in the shooting rampage that killed two men at the Haverstock Hill Apartments on Aldine Bender.
