HOUSTON (KTRK) -- An adorable Canadian boy got to rub elbows with his hero after winning the RodeoHouston Mutton Bustin' competition Tuesday night.

Ridge Flundra, of Alberta, rode all away across to the herd for a score of 92.

In doing so, Ridge won the Mutton Bustin' championship belt buckle-and even got a pat on the back from bull fighter Chuck Swisher.

Ridge, who is the son of bronc rider Dustin Flundra, said he hopes to one day grow up to be a bull fighter himself.

When contest host Patti Smith asked Ridge how he managed to win, he said, "I just hanged on tight."

Ridge says the contest was easy because "I've done it lots of times" in Houston and in Canada.
