RICHMOND, Texas (KTRK) -- Friends and co-workers are remembering the life of Sherilyn Gordon-Burroughs, who was found dead Sunday night in an apparent murder-suicide.
In a letter to Houston Methodist employees, CEO Marc Boom remembered the transplant surgeon.

"(Gordon-Burroughs) was incredibly passionate about medical education and training. She was a cornerstone of our graduate medical education program always going above and beyond for the residents. Sherilyn made a significant and lasting impact on Houston Methodist and will be sorely missed," Boom said.
Police have not ruled an official cause of death.
