HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Family and friends will gather to remember a bystander who was killed while trying to stop another crime at a southside gas station.

A vigil will be held at Garcia's Tires & Wheels in Houston to pay respects to Bobby Garcia, who died Monday while trying to intervene in an attempted robbery.

Police said three armed suspects confronted a Shell gas station owner who was unloading merchandise at the business in the 13000 block of Almeda.

That is when Garcia tried to stop the suspects. Police say the suspects shot Garcia twice. He died at a nearby hospital.

The store owner, meantime, was grazed by a bullet but was okay.

Investigators are looking for the suspects, who were seen driving away in a light blue or gray four-door Chrysler 200.

Garcia's family says he will be remembered as a generous person.
