Police search for tips in man's deadly shooting
Police are investigating a deadly shooting in southeast Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are looking for witnesses to a deadly shooting in southeast Houston overnight.

It happened on Berkley Street near the East Loop around 1:30am, and so far, police do not have a lot of information on what happened.

We know a man was found with a gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Police are investigating a deadly shooting in southeast Houston

Police think this could have been a drive-by shooting, but they are not sure right now.

Detectives are now trying to find any witnesses to the shooting, and hoping to find out more about the man found in the street.

"Right now we are waiting for the homicide investigators to get here to see if we have any witnesses," HPD Lt. Larry Crowson said.

"There are some residents in the area that apparently heard some gunshots, but whether or not anyone actually saw the shooting, I don't know."
