Friends remember the woman killed in crash
Friends remember the mother of two who was killed in a hit and run crash.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A woman trying to cross the South Loop after the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo BBQ Championship was killed in a hit-and-run accident.

The accident happened early Sunday morning when a 30-year-old woman tried to cross the westbound lanes of South Loop 610 near Fannin Street when she was hit by a dark-colored pickup.

Police say the driver of the truck didn't stop. The woman was taken to the Texas Medical Center where she died.

Anyone who may have seen something is asked to contact the Houston Police Department Accident Division.

The woman's identity has not been publicly released, but friends of the victim told Eyewitness News she was a mother of two.
