The Transportation Security Administration is unveiling a new hands-on pat-down procedure that is said to be "more thorough."

TSA officers used to evaluate the perceived risk associated with each passenger in question and then choose one of five different pat down options. Now there is one option: a full pat down.

Airports across the country are already putting out warnings. Denver International told employees and crews that these pat-downs "will be more thorough and may involve an officer making more intimate contact than before."

The TSA says this is not a new style of pat down. It "does not involve any different areas of the body than were screened in the previous standard pat-down procedure."

This new plan comes two years after a report on the TSA finding some officers missed guns and other weapons during screenings.

Watch the video above to learn more about how the TSA plans to implement these new pat-down procedures.
