500,000 Live Little Pets frogs recalled
A potentially dangerous defect is leading a toymaker to recall half a million toy frogs.

Battery chemical leaks are forcing the recall of some very popular plastic toy frogs.

Moose Toys Ltd. says a design defect in its battery cap means they want you to return your Little Live Pets Lil' Frog and Lil' Frog Lily Pad toys.

Two issues are of concern, the company says. First, if the battery cap is removed, it can become a projectile. Second, your child can become exposed to a chemical leak.

These Little Live Pet Lil Frog and Lil Frog Lily Pad products are being recalled for a possible safety issue

So far, there have been 17 reports of battery-related injuries, though Moose Toys says none of those were serious.

These frogs and lily pads are sold in three colors: pink, blue and green. More than 700,000 units have already been sold, carrying product SKU 28217 and 28218.

If you have these toys, Moose Toys says you can return them to the company for a full refund or replacement, even if you no longer have the receipt.
