Gas station owner shoots man in store

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A gas station owner in southeast Houston shot someone who came into his store, police said.

The first calls for help came in before 5 p.m. Monday from the store off Cullen and Yellowstone.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still unclear.

That man was taken to the hospital. His condition is unknown.

Police have detained the man and are currently interviewing him about why he opened fire.
