HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A 76-year-old man was found dead in his car in southwest Houston on Thursday, Houston police say.

The man, whose identity has not yet been released, was last seen at a dialysis appointment on Jan. 31. After he missed several scheduled dialysis appointments, his medical providers notified his emergency contact of his absence.

On Thursday, the man's son let investigators into his townhome on the 7300 block of Regency Square Court. His body was found facedown in the back of car, which was parked in his garage.

Authorities say the man was fully clothed, except for his socks and shoes.

A small amount of blood was found on the driver's side door, but there were no obvious signs of trauma. It appears the car had been running, authorities say.

"The inside of his house is immaculate, extremely clean, so the way that the vehicle is is kind of unusual," HPD homicide investigator Latonia Bailey said.

Investigators do not believe the man was robbed.

Until the medical examiner determines how the man died, his death will be considered suspicious.
