Woman questioned in her grandfather's 'suspicious' death in NW Houston
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are investigating what they say is a suspicious death involving an 86-year-old man and his granddaughter in northwest Houston.
The man was found in need of medical attention around 11pm at his home on Porto Rico Road at Windfern Road.
The victim was rushed to the hospital, where he died.
So far, all investigators know is a fight broke out between the victim and his granddaughter.
Police say the granddaughter ran off, but later turned herself in to officers.
It is not clear whether the man died of natural causes or whether he was assaulted.
HPD says they are awaiting cause of death from the medical examiner.
We do not yet know what sparked the fight or where the granddaughter went when she fled the scene.
