HOUSTON (KTRK) --Details are still scant surrounding Lady Gaga's halftime performance, but the pop songstress managed to let a few key pieces slip out during a Thursday morning press conference.
First and foremost, Gaga said not to expect any extravagantly carnivorous costumes on game day. That's right -- the infamous meat dress will not be making an appearance.
In its place, however, the best-selling diva promised a "tremendously athletic" performance.

"I mentioned that I thought it was important for us to consider high adrenaline. When you're watching football, you're watching guys crash into each other -- you're watching some real strategizing happening," Gaga said in response to a question from Houston's own Simone Biles.
"It's a pretty intense situation, and I didn't want the halftime show to take a dip. It's going to be a good time."
When asked about reports that she was scheming to perform from the roof of NRG, Gaga said she wanted to keep the show as much of a surprise as possible.
"You're going to have to wait," she bluntly told KRBE-FM morning drive personality Roula.

Rumors have also been swirling that Gaga could be planning to make a bold political statement during her performance, especially in the wake of President Donald Trump's inauguration.
Not so, she said.
"The only statements that I'll be making during the halftime show are the ones that I've been consistently making throughout my career," she said.
"I believe in a passion for inclusion, I believe in the spirit for equality, and the spirit of this country is one love and compassion and kindness."
Gaga also cautioned against the possibility of a surprise guest. A recent Instagram showing Gaga lounging in her temporary Houston digs included a bee emoji, seemingly a reference to Beyonce, which fueled speculation that the former Destiny's Child frontwoman could join Gaga onstage.
"Boy, do you guys read into everything!" she quipped.
