1st Annual Bob Allen Open began Sunday, benefitting The Sunshine Kids

SPRING (KTRK) -- The 1st annual Bob Allen Open benefiting the Sunshine Kids teed off at TopGolf in Spring Sunday night.

Allen, who was the sports director at KTRK for 38 years, was a longtime supporter of the Sunshine Kids.

Bob lost his battle with cancer last year but his legacy of working with the Sunshine Kids lives on.

Sunday's event included a silent auction to also raise funds for the Sunshine Kids in Bob's honor.
