If you have a child, you know all about the rules for car seats.
Once a baby outgrows a seat, it's time to move on to another one.
According to Consumer Reports, it's recommended that parents start using rear-facing convertible seats for their child by their first birthday to prevent head injuries.
A convertible seat should be rear-facing at least until the toddler is two-years-old or until the maximum height or weight is reached. You can turn the seat around after they have met those requirements.
