Police say speed a factor in NASA Road fatal wreck

HOUSTON, TX (KTRK) -- Police say two men in a Cadillac CTS were speeding on NASA Road 1 when they lost control just past Clear Lake Park, crashing into a tree.

Police say both men were trapped inside the wreckage. Firefighters used rescue tools to get the passenger out and he was flown by Lifeflight to the hospital.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

NASA Road 1 was closed in both directions from 11:40pm until almost 5:30am.

Pasadena Police say speed is the contributing factor in this crash, but it is still under investigation.
