The family of a security guard who was gunned down in 2014 is asking for the public's help to find his killer

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department's Homicide Division have announced an increased reward in the murder of Rene Almeida, who was shot outside an apartment complex in southwest Houston back in 2014. The standard reward for CrimeStoppers is $5,000, but the family has also offered $10,000 for information. The total reward is $15,000.

Daughter of security guard killed asks for public's help in bringing killer to justice

Almeida was shot at 12:25am on April 18, 2014. Almeida was shot at a condominium complex located in the 9700 block of Leawood Boulevard. Almeida was working as a security guard at the front gate of this complex.
