Police cruiser narrowly misses teens during chase

STOWE TOWNSHIP, PA (KTRK) -- Cameras were rolling during a close call involving a group of teens and a police cruiser that spun out during a chase.

It all went down outside of Pittsburgh as officers were chasing a suspect.

Police made their way through an intersection in Stowe Township and then lost control, slamming into a minivan.

Also nearby is a group of children on a sidewalk, just mere inches away from being hit by the patrol vehicle.

Eyewitnesses said the whole thing happened in a flash, and some were even shaken up by the whole thing.

"It was kind of scary, but everyone seemed fine besides the officer," witness Candice Sabo said. "He was shaken up. I'm sure he went to the hospital, but very scary."

The officer only had minor injuries.

As for the driver of the alleged stolen vehicle, he got away.
