Houston police say a group of men got into a fight with the victims as they were exiting the club, which shares a parking lot with the mall.
Aparicio-Mendez is accused of pulling up to the group in his silver Chevy Silverado, taunting them from out the driver's window.
At one point, police say Aparicio-Mendez pulled out a gun and opened fire on the men before speeding off in his truck.
Some nearby security officers who saw the shooting chased the suspect down at the Northwest Transit Center, where they held Aparicio-Mendez until police could arrive.
Police say he admitted to his role in the shooting.
