Prescilla Villarreal got a holiday season surprise she wasn't expecting.
"I've just been in a lot of bad ends, I've been up and down, up and down," said the mother of three kids.
A survivor of domestic violence, she even lost her family at one point.
"I've been working really hard to get my kids back and I got them," she said.
Sunday night things would start to look up when she was in line at a CVS in the Heights.
She said a man saw her scraping up some change while she was in line.
"He told the register lady go ahead and scan everything that she needs. And I said, 'Excuse me?'
And he says yes, go ahead and get whatever you need, and I said no, no. It's OK. He gave me the basket and said go get everything you need."
