FRIENDSWOOD, TX (KTRK) -- A grocery store employee almost laughed off a robbery attempt until the suspect appeared to reach for a weapon, Friendswood police say.
The incident happened at the Kroger on Bay Area Boulevard and FM528 just before 3pm. According to police, a young woman approached the employee, saying "This is a robbery, give me everything you have."
Although she initially thought the suspect was joking, the store clerk complied after the suspect began to dig around her purse for a weapon.
