Famous Hispanic actress talks Trump
Kate Del Castillo speaks to the media during an event in Houston, Thurs., Nov. 10, 2016.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- "I love Texas in general there are so many Latinos and Hispanos," said the Mexican actress, Kate Del Castillo.

There's no doubt Mexican actress Kate Del Castillo loves her public.

Most Hispanics know her for her roles in soap operas and movies but she became a household name when she made headlines after her name was connected to the infamous Mexican drug lord Joaquin el Chapo Guzman.

In 2014 it was revealed that Kate Del Castillo helped arrange a meeting with Hollywood actor Sean Penn and El Chapo but on Thursday her public relations team told the media she did not want any questions about El Chapo. She was, however, vocal about our new president elect Donald Trump.

"I still can't get it I think I'm still in shock I think even the people who voted for him are in shock," she said.

Del Castillo who now lives in Los Angeles became an American citizen in September 2015. She said she feels the Hispanic community didn't come together this election and she's disappointed.

"(I feel) really really sad because that speaks so much about this country and about the ignorance and racism," she said.
