HISD teacher charged after allegedly fondling kindergartener

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- An HISD kindergarten teacher has been charged with a felony after allegedly touching a female student's genitals on several occasions.

According to charging documents, Berry Elementary School teacher David Salisbury put his hands down a 5-year-old girl's pants while the rest of the class watched a movie on September 20th.

The alleged assault occurred in an area of the classroom where other students would not have seen Salisbury and the victim, an HISD peace offer determined.

Police say the female victim told her mother about the most recent assault the day that it happened. According to charging documents, the girl said that she had been sexually assault by Salisbury "a lot of times."

Salisbury has been charged with indecency with a child. His bail is set at $30,000.
