A teen driver crashed a truck into a house, knocking the building off its foundation. Jeff Ehling reports.

SPLENDORA, TX (KTRK) -- A woman says she was catapulted across a room when a car came crashing into her Splendora home last night.

Wet roads and high speed are being blamed for the accident that knocked the mobile home off its foundations and sent the people inside flying.

Officials say a 16-year-old driver was going too fast on Hill and Dale Drive and crashed into the home.

Department of Public Safety investigators say the teen was eastbound when he hit his brakes and started hydroplaning.

The Chevy pickup slammed into mobile home, causing major damage to the structure.

The two people inside were not hurt, but the homeowner had quite a scare.

Homeowner Susie Little said, "I was lying in my bed watching television, and then just in this split second I was just catapulted -- still on the bed -- but like the whole bed just slid all the way across. Then it just stopped, and everything was dark."

Little tells us she couldn't even open the door to her bedroom amid the wreckage.

There is so much damage, Little had to be helped out of the trailer by her son and her neighbors.

The family now has to figure out if the home can be repaired or if it is a total loss.
