Husband arrested after barricading himself in W. Harris Co. home

A standoff ends in an arrest in NW Harris County.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Harris County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man after a four hour long standoff in northwest Harris County.

Deputies say the man barricaded himself in his home near Antoine Dr. and Veterans Memorial Dr.

Deputies used a megaphone requesting that the suspect leave the house.

HCSO has identified the suspect as 49-year-old Manuel De Luna.

After that, the Special Operations Team used gas to get De Luna out of the home.

Deputies say that the 49-year-old assaulted his wife and daughter on Saturday night.

His wife went to the hospital. She is in stable condition with a broken arm.

Soon after deputies arrived at the home deputies say he barricaded himself in the home.

He put dressers and items against the windows and doors.

Deputies arrested him.

He will be charged with a felony for assaulting a family member.
