CYPRESS, TX (KTRK) -- On Halloween, two children reported that while they were treat-or-treating in Cypress, an intoxicated man approached them and pulled out a gun.

Police say the man threatened them and pulled out a handgun, but both children were able to run away and report the incident to adults.

Deputies say they located the suspect, Christopher Sterling Edwards, 33, at his residence on the 19000 block of Sweet Springs Lane standing by the doorway with his wife.

According to court documents, deputies approached him, but Edwards grabbed his wife and pulled her into the residence against her will and shut the door. Deputies were able to force the door open and detain him.

Police say Edwards was found with a semi-automatic pistol, and both children were able to positively identify him.

Edwards was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and booked into the Harris County Jail.

His bond was set at $60,000.
