Man shot while walking to apartment in Pasadena

PASADENA, TX (KTRK) -- Pasadena Police Department is asking for assistance in finding a suspect connected to the shooting of a man walking to his apartment late Saturday.

Authorities say the man had dropped off his family in front of their apartment, but couldn't find any parking spaces near their building.

After parking a short distance from the apartment, located in the 900 block of Austin Avenue, the victim started to walk when a small hatchback gray car approached him, police said.

A passenger in the car fired several shots.

The man was taken to the hospital by Life Flight with a gunshot wound to his left thigh.

Anyone with information is asked to call Pasadena PD at (713) 477-1221 or Crime Stoppers at (713) 222-TIPS. Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
