Man, young girl killed in alleged street racing crash

ROUND ROCK, TX (KTRK) -- Officers say a father and his young daughter were killed in a street racing crash outside Austin.

Two drivers in Mustangs were allegedly racing in Round Rock Saturday afternoon when one of the cars clipped a minivan.

Police say the minivan hit a sidewalk before slamming into the man and his 12-year-old daughter, who were walking at the time of the crash.

Their identities are not known.

Two passengers in one of the street racing cars and three inside the mini-van were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The street racing driver will face charges. They are searching for the second driver.
